Barbeque

Nathan left for Nicaragua this afternoon for three weeks to do volunteer business training with some businesses down there. Then Nathan, Claire and Norah will fly to New York to stay the summer for an internship. We wanted to have a barbeque and get together before Nathan left. It was raining and cold Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but later in the afternoon the clouds left and we had some sunshine even though it was still cold. We built a fire in the fire pit and cooked hot dogs and grilled hamburgers on the grill. It was a lot of fun and everyone came! Nathan also invited Quin and Paul and Melanie (with Penney).

Today I went to an invitational track meet at Taylorville High with Amy and she ran the 1600. She did terrific and dropped her time by 10 seconds. Her ankle is doing tons better!

Amy's last dance in High School--the Jr. Prom

Amy went to the Jr. Prom this evening with Joey Day. Here are a couple of pictures. Dad and Scott have been installing new cabinets all day in the rental house in Logan. When they finish them I will get a picture to post. We (especially Scott) have been putting a lot of time there painting and it is looking and smelling lots better. It will be really nice when it is done.

Easter Sunday 2010

A great Easter Sunday! Everyone but Ryan, Jeanette and Aaron and family were here. We were able to watch conference together, eat good food and enjoy each other's company. Thanks for coming everyone!

We had a wonderful Conference weekend/Easter weekend. On Friday Scott spent the night after attending his mission reunion in Provo and playing his drums at another reunion. Daren got up early on Saturday and had his annual spring horse clinic where the horses got their shots. Daren and Scott left right after this ended for Logan to work on the house. In the afternoon Johnny, Sharla and Ben came and Daren and Scott soon after. The boys attended the Priesthood session. Sharla, Amy and I stayed home and watched a movie. After the priesthood session we had rootbeer floats and Dave and Christy's family joined us. Here is a video of the jam-session.
